The Darkness

The Darkness

Deep within the darkness 
Somewhere inside of me
Spirits made of stardust
Not ever to be free

Voices less emotion
Bodies without form
Echoes from a slumber
Never to be born

Hidden in the emptiness
Left squandered  by a sigh
Then buried in the memories
Of twisted days gone by

Softly, silence seals the lips
Of hunger's sad reprise
To leave a calm tomorrow
Filled with wisdom's noble lies
