The Darkened One

you said you'd never leave me,
I should have known it was a lie.
you said I was the one you saw in your dreams,
but it was only to fund you,
you said I was your all and your only,
how could I have believed such a lie,
now I'm cold and alone,
sitting in the corner of this dark room,
my thoughts barren,
my emotions gone,
a silent creature staring at me from the rooms center,
"what are you?"
I smile,
"I am hate,
the emotion of forever rage
I am despise,
the feeling created from jelousy and annoyance,
I am anger
the emotion that fuels thousands,
and I am the end,
the one who never survived"
he laughed at this
"do you fear me?"
I closed my eyes for a second thinking
did I feel fear?
no,pity, pure and true pity was all I felt,
"no, I do not, in fact..."
I opened my eyes,
"all I feel is pit,
for your pain shall be eternal."
I closed my eyes and listened as silence enveloped the room
I reopened them slowly after listening for any movement,
all I could now see was a slumped figure in the corner of the room,
"as one chapter ends, a new must begin."

Oh Joseph...makes me want to behave myself! I'd feel terrified seeing "a slumped figure in the corner of the room". Fear, anger and annoyance surely stem from the darkest emotion...yuk!! Would be better to replace apathy with empathy? Best to you and yours, Mikki
