The Dark Soul and Its Night

Death and despair
	follow as a shadow
Clinging to my soul
Demanding the sum that I owe.

My dark soul and its night
Desperately search for a path of light.
Running, running, running
To cut through, yes, sever the blight.

Fleeing myself and the past held so dear
	Wishing, hoping praying for
God to come near.
