The Dance
He had promised her he'd be there,
They had waited for so long,
And all she really cared about,
Is that they danced for one slow song.
She waited and she waited,
But her boyfriend never showed,
Everyone else was having fun,
So why did she feel so low?
She sat there for a while,
Then she went home and cried,
But when her parents came home,
They told her he had died.
Her heart was forever broken,
She had wondered and wondered why,
Why hadn't he come to the dance?
Because he's in that ballroom in the sky.
