The Cycle

Ignited before your sight, I anticipate Each moment unplanned, awaited Memories bound, precedents assure Conversation considered, spontaneity preferred. Each breath lost, relieving expectation. Your efforts are not in vain Each appreciated by the previous Happiness distorted by uncertainty Rife fears, prominent through despondency. Lay in my arms, let my heart guard yours. My body reaches to engulf you Avoidance dismisses to affection's ire Choices made by one, for two Frustrations brew until faces overflow. Pride prevents comfort, love rallies. Indecision consumes, our motions unconscious Emotions that were, failing to respawn Silence understanding, words wary Forgiveness granted, admission's equivalent. Rest your head on my chest, again. Grasps lock, securing home Blurry eyes, clear for tomorrow The temporary excused, impulse subdued A willed stay, reinspiring hope. Outlast we will, the cycle that has become.
