The Cup

We take a sip
It goes down
The taste…
The bitterness of lies
Deception
A waste…
It could be hot
It could be cold
Every sip we take
A story untold
Hidden secrets
The unknown truth
Of what we’ve done
Today our youth
Poisoned…
We drink daily
Without a care
By the gallon
None to spare
A dying world
At full speed ahead
No slowing down
Too much blood shed
See us Lord
Let this cup pass
It’s full of sin
It won't be
The Last
