The Crimson Umbrella
Something meaningful is said
when colors come in shades of red.
The crimson umbrella’s quick cover
for public intimacy of lovers.
The crimson umbrella speaks
with whispers cheek to cheek
blending words of care that matter
with the sound of raindrops patter.
The crimson umbrella hides
desiring looks in lovers’ eyes
with neither one yet knowing of
the shining sun that’s out above.
