The Craft of Poetry

Crafts can be present in many forms
Molded with steady hands and arms
Creating art with good design
Following every curve and line.

There is a craft built from a word
Strung together, written or heard
Like strands of pearls, each one a gem
Or pretty flowers on a stem.

You create a sound with your voice
How you express it is your choice 
So, design your words, craft them well
With poems and stories, you may tell.

Perhaps that is the best craft sought
To speak kind words, to share a thought.
