Notes About The Poem
Courage, child your sins are forgiven St. Matthew 9:2

The Courage To Forgive

Asking forgiveness does take courage
Crushed another to the ground
Must be prepared in rejection
Have courage

Without courage to ask forgiveness
Will remain like the paralytic
Imprisoned on a spiritual bed of guilt
Misery and isolation

Pride, my only companion
Blessed Junipero Serra understood this
He preached on foot hundreds of miles on Western Coast of North America
To emphasize the crushing weight of pain

He often punctuated his sermons by striking a large rock to his chest
Thousands found courage to respond
Seeking the healing that only Eternal God can provide

Do you need courage today?
Spirit offers courage when we approach Him in the Sacrament of Reconciliation
There, we will find condemnation and rejection
He will bid us to receive His forgiveness

Healing and restoration

Have Courage Come to Him
