Erasing the moon,
Sunlight caresses blue
Skies of dawn,
Silent, gazing through the
Fearless, bleached clouds
Speaking of the storm
Who never questioned the
Light just beyond
Rain pouring out tears of heaven,
Where this huge pearl,
Glowing and growing oddly
Rounded, like the marble
Hung across the azure…
Their heavenly home the only room
They’ve ever known, -
When the heart spins its words,
Its prayers and praise…
There is this joy that comes from
Knowing the One who hung
Both sun and moon, stars and hues
In graceful blues, like a dream
Forever true to the crayon He
Used to give them actuality,
The being that is beautiful beyond
Most heart’s comprehension
Beautiful like the color of gentle
