The cold wait

A cold breeze howls
Turning purple as I wait in silence
Cars roar past
As I stand waiting
The feelings of hurt lash my brain
The physical and mental anguish
As my nose runs it turns to ice
Can’t feel my nose fingers or toes
The pain of the cold settles in my bones
As I patiently wait
