The Cold May Breeze

Honey's nose is twitching as the breeze blows over her coming through the open door, ruffling her fur. The sun is brightly shining on this glorious day in May. The breeze is still a tad too cold but tolerated anyway. The scents of springtime blossoms permeate the air. I'll leave it open in spite of the chill and a sweater I will wear. The breeze comes off the ocean making the leaves dance on the trees. I'll enjoy it despite my allergies that usually make me sneeze. Winter was long and frigid, now gladly left in the past. Honey and I are enjoying the day, Spring is here at last !

You're having cold breezes in May up in BC? The temperature reached 32c here in New Jersey over the weekend. This is a nice write.

A lady's best friend... her dog! (I presume.) This is delightful, Francine. Nicely rhymed with a pleasing cadence, and playful imagery, (except for your allergies!) Well done!! :)

What a shame your allergies emerge just as the blossoms come to life, Francine. I know how much you love the warmer weather and I hope you can replace that sweater with a swimsuit soon. (Thanks for letting me know about the error in that poem. My mind is not too clear these days, but it was my mistake.) Love, Carolyn
