The Cloudy Month of November
Overcast skies block the sun’s rays
From reaching the bleak landscape.
Where people and things feel the sting
That the forerunner to winter brings.
With the onset of sleet, snow, and rain,
That I endure without complaint,
Until I can go no further and pine
For favourable signs of a fairer clime.
Yonder, I see rays piercing the vapour,
And my spirit arises with prayers answered.
Be there a breather where torn asunder
In the cloudy month of November.
