The Cleopatra of Cosmetics

Ah, we ladies never have enough!
Foundations in all shades.
Forever~ in new forms.
Cleansers that promise us youth.
Softeners that hide wrinkles.
Lipsticks, a source of confusion.
Creamy, matte, or gloss?
For me, it is all delusion.
A rainbow of colors for my eyelids.
Is it really me I present?
Or a manufacturers's disguise.

I know a woman who fits your description perfectly. She was an assistant manager at a McDonald's when I first met her. Now, she runs a jewelry business online.

Tomes have really changed, haven't they! Jewelry! Good point! Forgot about all of that One can do it right or over do it Include Zany hair colors maybe ah home, one does not need to overdo it. I was faulting the industry, for making us believe we needed so much.. But.women and men have very right to do things as they see feet. Loved your vist.hugs PANGIE,, 4/23 excuse late response, please ?

Hello Panagiota, it is a manufactures fault for making us feel we do not look good just by being ourselves instead of wearing make up. Hugs Darlene xx

Lol. Darlene. Was thinking...in the day of masks, it's pointless., In some cases, a little makes us feel better. Even men wear make up now. Times have changed so much. iPhone's cost far more than make up. But I caanot hide me))) Hugs, Pangie xx

Well said! Cosmetics always identify women with too much free time on their hands, and considerable self-interest!

Rico...true for some. Here on the mainland, I don't know women with time on their hands. Most work, have their own family including older parents they care for. Plus in CA, lockdown is obe a year. People may buy them, yes, but there is nowhere to go. CA is mostly laid back.i don't know about the FREE states))) Appreciate your point of view, Rico, PANGIE 4/23

4/23~ I did not mean, I did all listed. I was thinking of all the stuff constantly on TV.)) being retired and lockdowned over a year...who needs all this stuff? Advertisers make us think we do. Nutty as pushing all the electronic gear AND idiotic jeans and gym shoe fetishes. Honestly, prefer to see a woman in dress, rather that in jeans all wired up. SEEMS days of beauty are ended here.. Pangie xx
