The Christian Republican Myth

Berate me for my sexuality
Pray for my eternal soul
Stone me from the roof your glass house
And congratulate yourself again

Worship your false idol
Your Commander in "Christianity."
Laugh at the idea of helping your fellow man
And laugh yourself to sleep again

Say you're a man of God
Celebrate as people lose their healthcare
"Why should I pay for you?"
And grasp your crucifix again

Try to push a pedo to senate
And curse a man for voting blue
Strip the reproductive rights of women
And pretend Jesus would ever be on your side

Place yourself among the pews
Fancy yourself as invincible in the eyes of God
When your hands are as red as the party you vote for
You can never truly be on Jesus' side.
