The Children of La Follette

the children of La Follette have been heard

of progressive tradition proud

honest workers of rugged American heartland

history of connection

to America’s dining table

knowing their great value

 struggling for a better day

heartland of America heard the calling

 of fellow workers in Europe

 and the middle east

 soon entire earth will hear…

 struggle also quintessentially American

return of 1930’s workers’ voices

supported by growing American millions

and worldwide billions

helping to fully realize

    America.
