The Chaos in my Heart

My heart is but the breaking waves of an angry ocean in motion It beats at a rate faster than most riddled with pain from a lifetime of angst The chambers take turn churning thick blood poisoned by memories of what is dark and decayed The chaos within pounds my chest and I scream for peace and relief from punishment Come here and feel my pulse see the evil that resides within For the truth can one day spill from my lips but will forever remain pounding in my heart

Such a powerful poem is THE CHAOS IN MY HEART. The biology of the beating heart is so strong that I detect my own heart in synchrony. Please read a book on self-care, as such angst can lead to illness (from one who knows). Good luck with the contest.

Heartfelt to read Robert, hope it was just for the contest and not reality...

Congratulations on placing in my contest. Your poem bleeds emotions. You can truly feel the heartache in your write. From "The chambers take turn churning thick blood poisoned by memories of what is dark and decayed," to Come here and feel my pulse see the evil that resides within." I could feel every word and the angst behind them. Fantastic poem.

Dear Robert, This feels like a very sincere poem that comes from a very deep place, expressing chaos within that sometimes you suppress and not many could see! Youv done an excellent job giving a very creative and poetic take with slight metaphors and seamless flow of words! I especially loved and felt “ It beats at a rate faster than most riddled with pain from a lifetime of angst The chambers take turn churning thick blood” soul hitting really! I see why you were placed in saras contest! Congratulations, sending you light, today and always!

Heartache as well as the breaking of it can cause terrible chaos inside it's fragile walls. Congratulations, Robert.
