Notes About The Poem

The Center

If only I could enter
Through patient, timid
Walls from center
Of the soul, heart
Predestined fears
Of spirit, mind
Unpleasant peers
Of friends, relatives
Wondering eyes
Of lovers, celibates
Obsessive spies
And I am in the Center.
