The Cardinal and the Rose

I looked out my window and what did I see, a beautiful red cardinal looking back at me. His lovely song, came on beautiful and strong. Below the tree, was a pretty red rose bush will a big yellow bee. With boxed up emotions and spirit, the red cardinal wanted to be free. The poor pretty red rose bush just sat, wishing he could be free or a big cat. The red cardinal flew off, pretty red rose bush wanted to know was this a brush-off. Dear Paula, your wonderful pen portrays such a beautiful scene from your window. The red cardinal may fly here or there, but he'll always come back to his beautiful rose. Your imagery is lovely, my friend. I love cardinals too, they visit my yard often as I feed all the birds. The more the merrier lol! Warmest wishes for a happy new year.. ~Susan (soup mail)
