The cannons roar, hatred inflame Destruction, chaos, without shame Our countries fabric torn apart Pride and conviction rule the heart Life as before we can't reclaim Atrocities in freedoms name Negotiations soon became Words meant to stop, but instead start The cannons roar We won't remember them by name Who heard the bugle's call and came They, on the battlefield depart Victims felled by the warriors art The cannons roar 12/09/2011

This entry reminds me a bit of Roger Whittaker's hit song "I Don't Believe in it Anymore". You have rendered a fine example of a Rondeau poem.
