The Bush That Sang
As April's warmth embraced
Bushes began to bloom
It was the strangest thing
Soft melodies would sound
A dead bush that could sing
As April's warmth embraced
A bush no green would know
But hidden midst her wood
Wee nest on breast so bare
Springtime love understood
As April's warmth embraced
Guests wanted bush their own
Yet whence the noises came
They never sought to learn
The bush was gaining fame
As April's warmth embraced
The secret was revealed
As robins and their three
Flew from the bush in May
To sing Spring's jubilee
