The Bus

Life sometimes gives us ups and downs, no easy road, no free lunch, we all have made bad choices, leaving us to make tough decisions.

How to feed my kids, pay the bills keep warm in the bitter cold, as I ride the city bus, I see it each time someone gets on, kids in tow with a big stroller, packed full of groceries.

You can tell alot about a person by how their dressed, nice casual dress, sone are tattered and well worn, but they all have a name, a story to tell, if we’d just take the time to listen a simple hello how are you”?

The city bus takes us all to our destinations in our daily lives, our hearts are full of dreams, ambitions, wishes, sorrows, joy; only GOD knows their heart, the driver is the one keeping the bus moving, where we get off is up to us, oh how I wish I could see inside their heart as I remember being in the bus going to visit my dying mom in hospice, why didn’t anyone ask me how I was, as I held back my tears of grief, as I would have gladly accepted a hug.

Take time to see a strangers heart, we’re all here together, look at their face, into their eyes, for it’s the gateway into one’s soul.
