The Brightest Son


When He said, “Follow Me”
I didn’t know just how I’d change
When He said, “I bring peace”
I didn’t know I’d be forever grateful
When He said, “You must be reborn”
I didn’t know I’d have a new nature

Jesus is the way, truth and life
The answer to even the small questions
He gives renewal, revival, rejuvenation
Enlightenment that opens the pathway
To a freedom that brings true victory
A resilience and strength that thrives

Jesus answers prayers about living
Giving assurance to those who strive
To be worthy of Christ’s forgiveness
And full of the grace, mercy and inspiration
That fulfills all the hopes of the spirit
Conquers the worries and gives comfort

Jesus whispers love into the heart
Bringing about change that encourages
The worst sinner to give up their wrongs
Live righteously, with the transformation
Of the soul showing their light from within
The one that shines like the brightest Son
