I began this poem and I thought I should stop there. Yet somehow after the first stanza I feltI had to write moer.. Perhaps it was a misjudgement but it is up to you to decide.
The breeze whispers in my ears:
”Come and join me in a spree
Let's move out towards the sea
Over choppy waves on currents adrift,
See your boat is in full speed,
My strong breeze has filled your sails
And speedily all is glee.
The hot air on the beach is far behind,
For now it's all fresh and clean.
Dolphins jump out of the waves,
Spraying droplets all around,
Till down again they go towards the deep.
Is it not a wonderful sight to see?”
The breeze helps me see wonders.
So blow as much as you need,
Until the hour approaches.
Crimson sunsets colour the distant bay.
Back I turn to our quiet quay.
Find haven in some quirky bar,
To drink a mug of cold beer.
The breeze whispers goodbye.
I give thanks for the relief.
Back home, windows all open
Put on the air conditioner for comfort,
For now the breeze has gone afar
To rustle up the lonely valley leaves.
