The Break of Day

daybreak grounds me
the horizon blushes
an end to night's passion
as the dawn unfolds my dreams

it seems
you own my mind
all my thoughts tumble
like autumn leaves
in winded breaths
whispered through darkness

i dance gracefully 
in memories of you
blushed with a desire
i cannot explain
and linger
in the afterthoughts
as day breaks
