The Bravest Death
The bravest death. To die for Christ,
Unglamorized, but not unnoticed.
Before the Lord, enemies wilt,
And death’s piercing sting not felt.
Though braggart towers upwards rise,
And man’s dominion increases,
The thought of perishing for ought,
Is woe, the greatest fear of all.
Christ’s heavenly gift surpasses
The spoils of earthly dominance,
While cowards raft adrift at sea,
Their souls bartered for such treasures.
Strength comes with the belief in Christ;
To know your death is not final.
