The Boy Who Played With Barbie
The boy who played with Barbie was never considered cool
He was just being himself
Teachers looked at him strange while he was at school
The other kids gave him hell
He didn't have many friends, he wasn't invited out to play
He had a lot of thoughts, but didn't have the mouth to say
Isn't it sad how a 5 year old is treated as such for being different
When he's the smartest in the class and has the most wisdom
The girl who likes wrestling and playing football
Is ridiculed and forced to be by herself behind an invisible wall
She's told that girls have to like pink and wear dresses
the teachers don't even try to give her a different message
She's only an innocent 9 year old, but they treat her like she's a convict
They don't like that she likes to laugh at comics
She has a lot to say, but doesn't have the words to speak
All the other kids tell her that comics are only for nerds and geeks
You're told to be yourself but schools will expell kids for certain Hairstyle's
Does it really matter what hair they have as long as they all share smiles?
a lot of teachers and schools are hypocritical
But you know it will be different if it's ever their child
Embrace who you are and don't let anyone make you feel worthless
Because every kid is unique and all have a purpose
Whether you're the girl who likes football or the boy who plays with Barbie
I just want you to know that you're just as cool as the so called Cool kids who go to parties
