The Boy

Two sides of town are what separate us
In fair Verfield, a quiet and small place
When I don't see you I throw a big fuss
You lift my spirits up with your embrace
You are always trying to make me laugh
Although, your jokes are always through a tease
I always feel like you're my second half
Life around you is such a gentle breeze
We see each other at least once a week
My heart races when I am around you
Our friendship has certainly reached it’s peak
Instead, you are dating a girl named Sue
Why can’t you see how we are meant to be?
I will be waiting under the oak tree
