"The Blues Released"
Black velvet sits between what is read yet unseen crushing sullen passion across ripe crimson lips holding tight those dancing fingers seduced gliding across the Player’s pristine alabaster piano keys burning the bluest blue release (LadyLabyrinth / 2020)
"Black Velvet" / Alannah Myles https://youtu.be/ZHHEmd5mECY
“Pianos, unlike people, sing when you give them your every growl. They know how to dive into the pit of your stomach and harmonize with your roars when you’ve split yourself open. And when they see you, guts shining, brain pulsing, heart right there exposed in a rhythm that beats need need, need need, need need, pianos do not run. And so she plays.” “When you play, never mind who listens to you.”

Not into piano music very much, guitars. violin, the saxophone is more my sound, but that's what makes the world interesting if everyone was drawn to the same sounds the world would be boring...Merry Christmas my interesting poet, may you and yours be filled with peace and happiness...A toast to you...

When it comes to the blues Parker, the sexier the better. You are spot on with your choice of instrument. ;) I am a mess of contradictions, for the music I chose to accompany this poem had very little piano/keyboard; the art of playing a musical instrument intimately "together" ... well, besides the obvious ... piano is the best. xx I know. Believe me. Merry Christmas to you and yours ... here's a little gift.

I agree with you my friend. Yet your better poems of which you speak do not tarnish the glow, depths and inspiring levels this gem displays. To me such creativity, style, flair, depths and beauty are constant standards in all of your poetry! And tis true so very few in this life can maintain that level as you have now. These are my sincere thoughts. Your poems do so greatly inspire me. God bless. Wishing A Very Merry Christmas To You And Yours ...

Lindley, I have written so much better than this. Both you and I know it. lol....it is astounding, I even won POTD for this bit of froth. Hey, but I'm grateful for any scrap of accolade thrown, lol. I trust all progressing well on the homefront with your beautiful and brave wife and your clever and brave son. You are so much better than I, in this instance. Your writing is the likes of the true laureates. As always, your friend, keep writing to us and stay strong on the home front. Leanne.x

Congratulations on your POTD win. You are so creative. Love your line, "what is read yet unseen." So True. You also have, “When you play, never mind who listens to you.” That is the problem. Most will not let their creative flow. Enjoy your win with Blessings...................

Some might say positively delusional. You are correct on all fronts. Most important mantra that one when living life and/or creating "When you play, never mind who listens to you". Thank you Fraulein Goldsmith. xx

I thought it had something to do with the pint of black Guinness I was using for the Christmas pudding. Perhaps more like my protagonist is wearing a slinky backless number in soft crushed black velvet, sitting precariously where she shouldn't be sitting, but must continue to play and more than likely, she has had a few sips too many of the Guinness. Thank you. xx

Is Circe good or bad? In conclusion, Circe isn't a villain nor a hero, but rather human. She is a free spirit and walks to the beat of her own drum. She has a strong personality and makes her own decisions, whether they are right or wrong...
