The Blank Page

I sit here looking at a blank page
Inside a stay at home cage
I do have my friends in my mind
Role playing that I see and need to define
There are no boundaries that state how close they can come
That is why our literature fantasies are so much fun
As they act out their story
My keyboard gets a workout that is very wordy
Six feet apart my characters are not
When they keep me company telling me a dreamy plot
There are no crowded filled arenas blocking visibility
Only a conflict that to me has sensibility
An empty seat between two
Will bring peace not a feud
Creating more space
Allows the imagination to comfortably build its case
Being an author is lonely and time consuming
But nothing can interrupt it that could ruin it
Just a feeling to share
With someone out there
Who may be trapped in the stay at home cage
Appreciating what I wrote on the blank page

Hello Marc, O'Brien, Yes now is the best time to create poetry on a blank page when it is quiet. Best time to concentrate. Enjoy your day my friend. Be safe.

All great poetry starts with a blank page. Many of us have the perfect hobby for these stay at home times. Well versed my friend. Have a great day and stay safe.
