I know this is way early, I will share my many Christmas poems later. I just thought it would be fun and a laugh.

The Big Guy came last night, you see And left some gifts beneath our tree. I must have been a decent guy— I got a few, I won’t deny.
Some Reese’s cups—my candy prize— Will hold me fast ‘til gumdrops rise. Bright colors wait to claim the crown from chocolate joy that wears me down.
And bloomers came—my big-boy pants— So I can skip commando’s stance. Just comfort now, the way it should be, Relaxing by the Christmas tree.
No neckwear now; my ties suffice— Garcia’s colors still look nice. My Dead records still lift me high Whenever I need stretch of sky.
A handkerchief or two appeared, Though Kleenex leaves them less revered. They’ll rest with things I rarely use, old habits stubborn to refuse.
No Camels now—those days are done; Forty years without a one. No healthy swap, I must confess, but quitting still was for the best.
No suits or dress clothes call my name— Just jeans and shirts, my daily game. Though overalls, with stretch to spare, made me laugh—and glad to wear.
So let me tell you, friends and kin, This Christmas warms us deep within. With faith and love, we’ll share the Mass And watch this holy season pass.
May peace and joy your homes adorn, with hope renewed each Christmas morn. May blessings guide the year ahead, with love enough for all that’s said.
