The Big Fish Story
Yesterday morning, I was out on my boat.
You know the one that can barely stay afloat.
Suddenly, my line got a big pull.
It gave me a struggle as I had my hands full.
The thing was bigger and heavier than I've ever had before.
I thought it would pull my boat and I ashore.
Well, bad luck prevailed over me yesterday.
The fish broke my line, and it quickly swam away.
What a mendacious tale my buddy then made:
He told me he nearly caught a mermaid!
