The Best Parts of Time Never Pass Us By
Where does time go
When time drifts by so slow
How does one really know
How to stop this ongoing picture show
When days get lost in the haze
How is it possible to capture a rainbows craze
That brings our spirit out to play on a hot summer day
Afraid all of life's tender moments are just clicking away
Living every second so that precious time don't decay
Storing all the amazing minute's in rewind
As if every second was on layaway
To open like a new toy on Christmas day
With all the joy that brightens life on display
Lord, I pray that the best times are here to stay
With every dawn meets a new day
Reminds me that time slips away
Believing all the special stuff is locked in my mind
Ready to rewind all my wonderful memories of time
The treasures we keep that unwind
All the blessings that shower our life in time
Remembering every hour as it unfolds like a flower
Skinny dipping on a hot August night
That etches time gone by like a neon light
As it takes flight lighting up the skylight
Letting us know that the best parts of time
Never pass us by
They stay locked in your heart stuck on high
Bringing all of life's memories out on the fly
So we don't have to worry
About the best parts of time passing us by
