The Best of You

I want the face you use for show
The one portrayed, who others know
On the surface, for a purpose
Not what you hide below 

The best of you, the brightest hue
Not the side you show in lieu
The one I met.  The best one yet
Yes, that’s the one I choose

This is the you, who drew me in
The one, I found, in you, a friend
The one with grace, my happy place
Where in the world has that “you” been
