The Benediction of Sin
Our lives are but misfortune
for we want what is amiss
beholden unto desire
the fire of a kiss
Ages have passed
years but into the fire
we are but weakened men
before the reins of desire
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Tender is none
hardened is all
when love turns to dust
and heaven begins to fall
Lust for what none of us have
a taste to provoke the worst of nature
for all naked men in life
twist for that delicate creature
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Hearts undone beneath her smile
her finger dipped in every man
how is it that we deny
her promise and 'tinue to stand
It is with resolute faith
that we stand united as one
ready to repent before god
and sacrifice what we have done
