The Beginning of Us

I watch you from across the room,
Stealing glances.
Dreaming of the future just you and me.
Leaving class shoved against the wall,
Falling into your arms,
Looking into your deep beautiful eyes.
I see the fear and sadness on your face.
Asking if I'm ok.
I smile saying yes.
I didn't...someone shoved me.
I know I heard you,
As I place my hand on your cheek.
Your my hero,
Your Face turns a light pink, embarrassing you.
The least I can do is take you to dinner,
Then I realize this is the beginning of us.
