The Beauty
Under the stars I look over and see
An amazing beauty laying beside me
The moonlight reflects in her eyes
I look at her face there is no disguise
Lying under the stars above
For this beauty I feel such love
Beautiful and perfect she is to me
There is not a flaw I can see
This is what I truly wish
To be with her in perfect bliss
As we touch and begin to kiss
It couldn't get any better than this
Suddenly this beauty starts to fade
Turning a clear translucent shade
I rub my eyes and shake my head
Only to realize I'm lying in bed
To my disbelief it was only a dream
But so real and perfect to me it seemed
I never wanted to leave that place
Lying there gently carresing her face
I long for the beauty that i had seen
In some faint and distant dream
Maybe in a different place and time
I'll find the beauty that's in my mind
It's hard to believe this love I feel
For a beauty that's not even real
I will search in my despair
For the beauty that was never there
