The Beautiful Heart Of Joshua Judah pt1
The Beautiful Heart Of Joshua Judah
It was nearing Christmas day, and Joshua Judah needed a tree for the holiday season. The sky outside was overcast. The air was cold, damp, and windy. There was an inch of fresh snow on the ground from the night before. “Oh, how I dread the cold.” Joshua Judah said to himself. He then proceeded to put on a warm jacket. Then he wrapped a scarf around his neck and covered his head with a knitted cap. Last of all, he put on his winter gloves. As Joshua Judah went out through his front door, a smile appeared on his face.
Joshua Judah walked onto that Christmas tree lot with a sense of joy and anticipation. He could hardly contain the excitement in his heart. As he looked around, he noticed that the Christmas tree lot was filled with beautiful regal pines. As his eyes went from tree to tree, something in the very far back end of the lot caught his eye. “Oh, my Father, my God” Joshua Judah whispered under his breath. He could not believe what he was seeing. Compassion was now the motivating factor of his heart.
With his eyes fixed, he walked right by every single one of those beautiful regal pines.
The closer that Joshua Judah got to the tree he was fixed on the more burdened with mercy his heart became. Everyone who looked at this tree just passed it by. They all concluded in their heart that this tree was the most frail and fragile pine they had ever seen. Its branches were almost completely bare and sagging. Its trunk was hunched over and drooping. By sight, there was nothing at all appealing or attractive about this tree. Most would have just cast this pine tree into fire. Joshua Judah, though, was not like most people.
As Joshua Judah stood there looking at this frail and fragile tree, he made up his mind. He was going to purchase it. Joshua Judah then proceeded to walk over to the lot attendant. As he approached the lot attendant, he outstretched his arm, and with his index finger, he pointed. Joshua Judah then said to the lot attendant. "I desire to have that tree." He then proceeded to reach into his pocket and pull out what was needed, and he purchased that tree.
