Jan, you’ve highlighted how situations in nature create drama in life’s survival struggle. Since we’re so capable of solving our survival needs it makes me wonder why humans are fighting as much as we do. I’m thinking we have an anger epidemic. Smiles!!

Thanks Duke, the situation globally is beyond scary. I never know where contest prompts will take me but at least i write every word out of my head and not revert to cheating! hugs jan xx

These guys certainly don’t mess around when hungry Jan, unlike Ilene below I would recognise this was one of yours, the (brown trout) being your calling card lol! Don’t mind me it’s an excellent stand alone piece and Roundel! Cheers David

- Bears eat a little bit of everything in nature ... it's not often they eat fish ... so of course there will be a fight ... a nice poem, Jan :) - hugs

aww thanks for the lovely comment, it took me a few days to get right especially trying to get the third line of the first stanza to make sense. I will never resort to using AI like some do - what is the point of cheating but sadly it is rife on the site and in contests and is driving real poets away - although i am more of a poohet than a poet lol :-( I hope Joseph likes it enough to place in his contest:-) hugs Jan xx

Thanks Regina. i am not as active on soup as i once was - the blatant use of AI is making the soup bowl sour and not a nice place to be at times. hugs Jan xx
