The Autumn

The enchanting beauty and glamour A Taj Mahal on the corpse of summer Comes October every year Leaves leave the branches to lick the dust Clouds shower rains to quench earth’s thirst Cold wind like blizzards moves Ripping colorful flowers in the valleys and grooves To ambush its glamour the winter in hiding lays Peeping sometimes through fogs and haze Seasons come and seasons go Each one ends its enchanting show But life beleaguered by pangs of sorrow Knows only one season, the season of woe -----

Hi Dalila, Thanks for your uplifting comments. You are very kind. Taj Mahal is in India where I was born. It was built by Moghul Emperor Shah Jahan where the mortal remains of his wife Mumtaz Mahal was buried. No, I don't live close to Taj Mahal.I live in Europe. Happy New Year to you. -Mohammad

Thank you for your kind comments you are a very skilled and gifted writter. I do understand your feelings [having a depressive bent myself] their was a famous poet who said [I've Been down so Long it Looks Like UP to me.] But those who have hurt us so care not and maintaining vigil on their memory is something which would only humor them and that they do not deserve..don't waste the gift of your life..Light & Love

Dear Debbie, I am deeply touched by your kind words. I don't wish any one else (even my enemy) to be hurt like me. I extend my hands with a bouquet of love wherever there is anguish and pain. This is my way of taking vengeance . Thanks also for the impressive quote and wise words of the poet. Best wishes. -Mohammad

Hi Muhammed,I love the season you describe so beautifully then the last verse was so poignant. It is sad and yet I felt there was a basic truth in what you said if we look at the larger picture.

Thanks for your profound feelings and friendly advice. I have painted a picture of gloom and you have presented me a red rose of hope. Very kind of you, Debbie. I am really overwhelmed. However, it may sound depressing but the reality is that once the season of sorrows is hosted it doesn't depart. About seven years a go someone I love hurt me badly. The wound doesn't heal, many seasons have come and gone. Regards. -Mohammad
