The Askance Chapter 5 Part 6f
With Alkaiya shouldering me towards the newly opened way
We walk through to see a skeleton on its knees with hands clasp to pray
Robes worn only suggests a she to be beyond this other chamber
A woman in dire on her knees hence death be her forever
And as we struggle through… the open way closes behind us
Our time in the Heaori Chamber is finally to come to its pass
All that is left, is but to seek out The Goddess of Word
All we were left, is but memories within to forever hurt
As I turn to see where the woman in robes died facing
I saw upon the wall those similar written-engravings
Fewer in words, fewer in lines with blood etched upon
And I understood it all before The Ancients no more I belong}
Dried were my tears awaking to reality
Ei-rian’s passing is more than too much to bear
And above it all, I must abide to all responsibility
For its I who killed her beyond a possessive dare
My will upon those of good has fallen
Fighting at my lost for a cause not of my own
If not for Ei-rians’ last words to have spoken
A lesser time for a lesser mind I would have known
And I knew… understood how the doorway was opened
It was through love and for love to be heard
For the engravings I have read before leaving The Ancients
From she who prays in her robes, these are her words
“And forever she stays with he
Forever with love to be entombed within
Of us against the world, a never be
Against the world we lay forever in eternal dreams
Along forever with you”
