The Askance Chapter 4 Part 3c
The love in her, the hate in war and the unjustly moment in time
Is reality the indefinite cause to forbid and discern The Ancients behind?
Decidedly, I lifted her off the ground and began the loneliest path?
Walking in discontent and knowing not where of aid to ask?
Each weighted step was taken with a sigh of a heavy heart
Distorting images of her was as well preparing to tear me apart
I remembered the first time I came upon her atop a shadowy stone
Singing towards the Heavens… an aria infuse of sorrows alone
Taken aback by my appearance thereafter with a single tear
Of years in loneliness where relief is finally to wash away fear
Her strength speaks the better of her as the berserker in torment
Her words bearing the burden of times lost in valuable endearment
Her love buried deep within that goes hidden and unseen all along
Perhaps knowing greater things are at stake then have undesired emotions to hold on
Or might Ei-rian be the one she is to think lesser of herself entirely
Humans comparing to Gods, being inadequate and acting foolishly
I wondered on in reluctance as I neared the end of the stony fields
Already, the arising Sun was spilling its light over the distant hills
With a moment more, everything was clear and obscure at the same time
Her oval face was seen the last as darkness is to return to shine}
I jolted awoke with a start
Seeing Alkaiya no longer in my arms
Reality is once again to tear me apart
Before my return, I pray she be unharmed
I know she is to remain in my mind for the rest of day
And I blame myself for being incapable to save her
In a well of grief, I lit a joint and in my room I stay
Miraging possible solutions to rid her of death she so nears
Somehow, her love has return into my thought
Can I forsake my task and love her as I did… Ei-rian?
Silent tears against silent years need be fought
Feelings must I place aside and to only await my silent dream
And then materialize was an image as I recall
A prophesized dream that she was to be murdered by me!
Absurdly, the irrelevant thought has cause hope to befall
That of which the assumption of her to live to be
Let the dream be true for now
If the time comes, I will be in total control!
Mind over matters, determination needs be found
A destiny to defy for a fate to unfold
Can you not see I’m alone?
I’m calling out to you Ei-rian, can you not hear?
Between reality and dream, which is home?
Must I be burdened for all time in relentless fear?
