The Ascension of Me
I was so lonely and speechless, you see?
I couldn’t breathe, so please, oh please…
If only you were completely there for me…
It would put me at ease, so put me at ease
You weighed me down for so long
I just can’t make it without you
I have known the difference between right and wrong
Yet, I still feel empty and this shade of blue
What’s wrong with me? You ask?
I wear this rainbow mask…mask…
Break this barrier between us
And don’t fuss and cuss…
Helplessness…
Hopelessness…
You gave me all of these…
Put me at ease…at ease…
Let me rise
Like the sunrise
Look me in the eyes
Tell me no more lies
You will witness the ascension of me…of me…
You will not mess with my progress eternally
I’m feeling more or less of your distress frankly
I want to feel and be free – can I be truly free?
Tell me I’m unbroken…because I am
The words you write are left unspoken
I’m a wrecked wall and a broken dam
Release the birds of absurdity again and again
You will see my phoenix soul arise
You will see it with wide open eyes
Shut down the system of negativity
Give me poisonless passion and positivity
Follow my footsteps to the unknown
And make progress, even if you’re all alone
You are not on your own…
I’m here for you, love – the love I love alone
You will witness the ascension of me,
So don’t weigh me down with your gravity
I’ve been believing in your lies
Grieving due to your goodbyes
I can’t just let go and let live yet
I am still dealing with past regret
But, you will see me rise
Like a phoenix during sunrise
If you are my sunset, my darling…
I’ll be your moonshine and everything
Anything goes when you are with me
Anything goes when you witness prosperity
Anything goes when you are so free
Anything goes when we get out of captivity
No doubt, you’ll see me truly ascend
Towards the lovely route of The-End
The ascension of me
Will see to it possibly
If only you’d bite the bullet
And let go of utter regret
