The Art of Trust

Trust is an art, difficult to learn Takes a while to build and years to earn A seed to nourish, a flower to bloom A fragile thread, but everything to assume It's built on faith, respect, and love so true It's in the little things that people do Trust is a bridge that connects two hearts Without it, a relationship falls apart To trust is to give, without holding back It's a leap of faith, not a simple track It's the courage to believe and feel secure For when trust is betrayed, it's hard to endure With trust comes responsibility To keep the honor and the dignity It's a fragile balance, hard to keep in place So, we must be careful and keep a steady pace The art of trust is knowing when to speak And when to listen, to be meek It's in the small gestures we make each day To show we love and care in every way It's in the promises, we intend to keep And the secrets we honor and do not leak It's in the understanding, the mutual respect For each other's needs and what we expect To trust someone is giving them our heart Knowing that they will never tear it apart It's a bond that lasts through thick and thin A true relationship, pure and genuine Trust comes with freedom, not control It's letting go of fear, to become whole It's in the comfort and the sense of ease To trust someone is a beautiful disease The art of trust is the foundation of love It's in the stars above and the clouds that move So, let's build bridges, not walls that divide For in trust, we shall find peace and abide Trust is an art we must all learn to master For without it, our lives become a disaster So, let's love, let's trust, and let's have faith For that's the path that leads to eternal grace
