The Art of Love

The Art of Love

If you want your bond to forever stay,
Learn forgiveness in the kindest way.
Let go of grudges, set your pride aside,
For love to flourish, let compassion guide.

Sacrifice you'll offer, day by day,
Put your own wants gently out of play.
Sometimes you'll yield, though it stings to lose,
In giving ground, stronger ties you'll choose.

Get used to sharing what you hold so dear,
Your time, your dreams, your heart without fear.
The spotlight splits, no more a solo gleam,
Together shining, building one bright beam.

Share your mind's depths, body, soul, and all,
No walls to hide behind, no fear to fall.
Be vulnerable, let your secrets flow,
In openness, true intimacy grows.

Leave solitude's comfort, embrace the change,
Let I become we, in love's wide range.
These lessons learned will weave your fates as one,
A lasting love beneath the moon and sun.

For growth together marks the path that's true,
How long you'll last depends on what you do.
In sacrifice and sharing, you'll endure,
A love that’s deep, eternal, and secure.
