The Answer
Once in my life
As I learned
the art of loving,
I started painting...
and from the gentlest
to the wildest stroke
of my bare hands,
I made a portrait
of my man.
Then I told myself
I would love only
one that surely
match that epitome,
my man of chivalry.
Then you came...
People asked me,
why do I love you?
Oh, I didn't even know why.
So I asked the stars
sparkling from afar
in one moonless night;
Why do I love you?
And from the vastness
of the sky
I saw a falling star...
And here in front of me,
a stone that glitters
though unpolished.
