The Angel

An Angel once told me not to be afraid.
She told me that the pain we face
will only make us stronger in the end.
The unkind acts people do to us will
be judged in the end.
We would never be alone, or misplaced.
God has seen the cruel things this
world offers, and he never left us alone.
He was right there beside us, crying with us.
The Angel told me that I would one day help
someone else who has punished the way
I was punished, so our trials we face
can help someone else's pain.
The Angel kissed the top of my head and said
"Child give Jesus your pain and all your hurt"
I gave my life to him that moment and
the darkness that followed me for years
was gone, and sunshine brightened up the day.
The Angel told me to never give up and to
let my heart fill the love of life again.
Tears fell from my cheeks as I lifted up my hands
and forgave my family who hurt me so much.
I'm giving it my all, starting out small
but I'm seeing sunshine instead of rain.
Thank you little Angel for showing me how
to live again when I was lost at my Cross.
