Notes About The Poem

The Anatomy of God

"The Anatomy of God"

Who shall say there is one God?
if there are many, as it seems
in all the world’s sects and religions -
Who is their God? Is the source
some universal, bright, big, ultra simple,
ultra clean - Halogen Light Beam?
Or just an empty space beyond Beyond,
drawing us all slowly into it’s Black Hole vacuum
and this has been the true story all along?

The question poses images of
many different things
a snake eating it’s own tail,
a never-ending eternity ring;
Who shall say there is no God
there are many, it seems;
there are those who are certain
dead is dead, there are no dreams
no curtain, nor a veil that’s thin,
there is no such thing as Heaven -
but could it be, God is hidden,
in Rene Magritte’s Son of Man’s vision
and what rapture direction Magritte's Golconda -
will men rain up or down? I wonder.
Go peel back the pages of your books
and the layers of your glass onions
maybe there, maybe not
the answers to be found -
A.I. weaves it's membrane tentacles
seeing, hearing every thought, face and sound.

To each his own and to own their sins
The Anatomy of God
like peeling layers, of an onion,
the questions burn, then they sting
honey dripping, bitter almonds
holy waters rising
what happens if it’s sink or swim?
Revelations of all Armies
fighting wars without, not within -
Are aliens demons? Or distant family, some say friends?
Dream on dear open minded legions
with or without dominion;
Questions forever oceans rising,
like Meteors, Cock Robin
Sky is Falling

Who is God?
What is God?

Something’s coming,
Something’s calling.

Thought provoking! This is what's needed, to not be satisfied, to question and keep open mind. You are on the right track," feeling God is in us "..for the reason God himself explains. We are made in his image. Meaning we are the only creatures with ability to think and discern HIS standards of right and wrong. soup mail me if want to share more Keep folks thinking. great write bbn

There is a Source barbara, there is a God. I've been curious since a child re Shroud of Turin (is it real, is it fake). I found the link below to these video productions food for thought. I find Egyptian history interesting as well, I believe they were onto something with the Pineal Gland. The true answers will only be found at that point when we depart this dimension (life) into the next. There are those who believe nothing, but perhaps that is their fate. Who knows, the true answers lie in faith and/or what happens at point of departure. Thanks for your interest in this story.

A provocative subject Leanne and right on the button. Personally, I question man made religion and the controls it exerts on humans. Humans are not the only beings on this universe. We are all part of a great macrocosm into which we feed and receive energy. I believe in the Universal energy, that I feel is female as in nature or must be unisex. Who is to say otherwise - our intuition is what is important...Maria

True, we are not the only beings in this world (the animals and other living creatures) and we are not the only beings in the universe. It's all very interesting and everyone has their own beliefs and intuitive perceptions on what "IS" - we will only know the answer/s when our time has come, in this life or the next.

We all come from stardust, this is true. I believe in one Source/God and that power created the cosmos. I would not be surprised if that source is female, but no one has the answer to who or what gender "God" is. I believe the source/God is a living entity of energy that gave birth to all life in the universe and beyond (interdimensional) and has no gender. God could be Light energy and Dark Matter. However, I tend to think God is Light energy and something evil is Dark Matter. With regards to Frederic's comment below, and my response - if God is in all of us, and we all possess Light and Dark, then do we have two I AM's within us, or is God both? I'm going with my Light Energy and Dark Matter theory.

God is the most powerful tool humanity has ever created to control other humans, we are all skin covered souls yearning for eternity, heaven and hell both lay within ourselves ...the one we feed the most is the strongest...my first thought after reading

I think God is in all of us. The great "I AM". Yes Frederic, I do believe that heaven and hell both lay within ourselves. Everyone possesses LIGHT and DARK.

People believe many different things, you ask some thought provoking questions that will get different answers due to different beliefs...

My poems are by no means sophisticated, but I am certainly open minded and inquiring. Whether the poem receives comments or not, really doesn't matter. Perhaps it will give people food for thought, then again maybe not....
