The American Idol

I am the American Idol.
I've faced many rivals.
I've been through many trials.
I've worked hard.
I 've been scarred.
Now I'm a star.

I had to wipe tears from my eyes.
Now, I am touching people's lives.
I had to hear roaring reprimands.
I now hear soaring screams from my fans.
I was hungry for success all of my life.
I'm now eating up the American pie.

Now, I'm a star.
I've been scarred.
I've worked hard.
I've been through many trials.
I've faced all of my rivals.
I am the American Idol.
