The Alchemy of Unrequitted Love

I finally give up I think I've had enough You have brought me to the brink of madness As you recklessly played With the unpredictable flame Of my incredibly volatile passions You're just lucky I've such strength Keeping this inferno contained It's much more powerful than you can imagine The result would be utter destruction Consuming all within it's reach Purification it's only function Carried on the wind independently of me But I guess in the end you're still the magus An alchemist in your own right Blending unfulfilled desire with profound sadness You managed to turn fire into ice
